Hero Academy Jiu Jitsu & Retreats

Hero Academy started in Tamarindo, Costa Rica in 2016. Our mission is to offer local kids an opportunity to learn Jiu Jitsu and other sports programs free of charge. We currently have over 150 kids in our programs. We fund this mission by bringing in top talent from BJJ and MMA to hold once-in-a-lifetime retreats.

Over 500 local kids have benefitted from our HeroKids Program since 2016. We provide free training, uniforms and safe transportation through our HeroKids program. The kids train Jiu Jitsu, Parkour, Gymnastics, Yoga and functional training. These opportunities would normally be cost prohibited in this area. We are happy to spread our love of Martial Arts and physical fitness to the next generation.

We fund our non-profit HeroKids program by hosting luxury fitness retreats in Tamarindo. We have the largest training facility in Costa Rica with over 4000 square feet of training space on high-quality mats. We have integrated the retreat, housing, and excursions to handle everything for you. Just bring your group and we will handle the rest!
